05/04/2015 1:03 am"Bigger is better" declare sushiphiles of these East Side Japanese "go-tos" for "monster-size" slabs of the "freshest fish", offered at a "decent price"; the price of popularity: their "drab" setups are generally "crowded" with "long waits" at prime times. |

04/12/2013 9:22 pmSolid sushi joint near Union Square. Edamame was a bit squishy, but still good. Really loved the naruto roll: tons of fish, not too much cucumber, skillfully prepared. The sashimi was the stand out: very fresh. The sashimi can get a bit pricey at about $4 per piece. Service was very no-nonsense. I enjoyed sitting at the corner of the sushi bar with my friend. Beware, this place gets PACKED, and doesn't take reservations -- so be prepared to wait if you come at a peak time. |
