Awesome place, people and food I'll be coming back

This place, like a lot of places in the Japanese Village Plaza, is cash only but it's also cheap. There was so much I wanted to try, so many different buttery breads, their unique mini pizzas, their croissants, their almond danishes and cakes. So so much.

We were sampling from each place in the village, so at Yamazaki Bakery, we spent just a few dollars for a few Delicious chicken curry buns. Fresh and hot, soft and savory, we ate each one slowly and really wanted to go back and get a baker's dozen.

Will go back to try other items but the steamed buns simply rock.

I love this bakery. You can get numerous Japanese-style breads for about $1. The loaves (which are famous enough to be found at other markets) are cut thick and available in half-loaf sizes. The service is par, but the product really makes up for it.

I don't know what they are called, but there are these steamed buns filled with stuff. They are actually quite good. We had pork filled today, but prefer the chicken curry.

They were quite satisfying and under $2 each.

Not only do the bland baked goods make this place a poor man's Porto's, the rude and condescending woman behind the counter serves as the proverbial nail in the coffin for me. If you're serious about your sweet tooth, do not waste your time here.
