I know its better to tell the staff personally about the food and the experience, but when it's your first time, you don't want to come on too strong. Based on my culinary experience, my visits to numerous Greek restaurants, and based on my taste buds, I was disappointed with the some of the food and the overall experience. The humus was good, the seafood soup was good, the spinach pie was good. The cracker's for the soup were totally stale; mushy stale. The waiter seemed put off by it when I brought it to his attention. The house salad was from a bag. The salad dressing was good. The chicken kebab was under seasoned and was basically flavorless. The rice was lackluster and the fries were not hot. The waiter was friendly, however, he talked almost the entire time with another table as we were eating. It's great that he is social, but we would have preferred a more peaceful dinning experience. I ended up with the Mousaka and I didn't care for it, not to say it was bad, but the fact that it wasn't hot, did not help. As we were paying, the gentleman making a hamburger behind the counter, took out some American cheese. He laid it on what looked like a dirty wash rag. He then proceeded to put in on the burger as he finished cooking it. I was very put off by that. The guy at the front counter was very pleasant. We ordered the almond cookies to go. They were akin to putting sawdust in my mouth. They were beyond dry and perhaps they're supposed to be like that, however, it was an unpleasant mouth feel experience. The Baklava was very good. I would eat that again and again. This is a place I would go again to have the Baklava and a Spinach pie, but that's about it.

If you judge this book by its cover and not walk in it will be your loss. Very folksy and local but the food packs a punch that will knock you over. Stopped in on our way to the Air Force Museum in Dayton and experienced the best Greek food ever. And being from NY we have a lit of choices. We had the Kakamari, hummus, and Moussaka. And the Greek salad is a religious experience. Awesome good!! And if you're lucky enough to get Maria as your waitress, it will be an added bonus. You'll think you've known her all your life. A definite must!!

They have the best hummus ever, and their onion rings are amazing too. Good food and good service, if a little cramped, but well worth it.

Absolutely love this place! I'm actually upset that I didn't tip more, ha! I went there wanting to experience something other than a Gyro, and they did not disappoint in their options. I got the Mousaka and the Chicken and Lemon soup and they're both delicious! Not to mention reasonably priced. The staff were all warm yet incredibly proficient. I will DEFINITELY be going back!
