Awesome beer selection as you would expect. Great specials. The staff is what makes it a 5 star place though.

This was back in July of 2014, i just realized this post never went through.

I have nothing against Yard House as a restaurant. I love their food!

But there's a particular server that I am upset about. His name is TYRONE and he was had a rude attitude from the start. We were a group of 10 people and we were there for my boyfriend's birthday. He was taking everyone's order but completely ignored my friend on getting her order. The table that my sister was sitting at was uneven compared to the table I was at. For some reason it wobbled and when they asked to fix it Tyrone said "It's actually not the table, it's what you guys are doing to it." How rude!

After everyone were finished eating, we received our checks and I was paying for my sister's order. She had ordered a beer after 10 (which is when their happy hour starts) and on the check he rung up the second beer as regular price. She asked him why and he said "Well its actually whenever I put it in that's what it shows" or something like that, which doesn't make any sense. What matters is when the customer orders and she ordered right when it turned 10. It pissed me off because he charged me more than he should have. I don't know if he was trying to confuse my sister because she had been drinking, but she knew what she was going on. I waited for him to come back to our table and take the checks but he purposely avoided me so I had no other choice but to pay for it.

I definitely would come back again but I never want him to be our server again. Terrible service.

The three stars was simply due to the service on this evening, otherwise I would have given this business a four star review. We had a large party of 15 which I know can be a challenge. It took about thirty minutes to get our drink orders in and too much time to get our food orders in. Our appetizers arrived before many at our table had their drinks.

I had the Yard House version of a Spicy Tuna Roll. It was very good, but some traditional sushi lovers might not like the presentation. I also had the Ahi Tuna Steak Sandwich. I loved the flavor, but did not care for the toasted bread which was hard on the inside of my mouth. I'd recommend a bread change for this sandwich.

A very nice low-lit atmosphere in the heart of downtown San Diego with delicious food and an awesome selection of beer. Anyone who knows Yard House knows they they don't fool around with their beer selection and this location is nothing different. The food that I had was easily above average, but far from your five star experience if that is what you are expecting from Yard House. I was pleased with the speedy service, but the waiter was not obnoxious like many waiters can be in order to ensure "needs are met." I was thoroughly satisfied with my visit based on the quality of food and the selection of beer.
