It's "Greek food at its finest" at this "upscale", "real-deal" Yorkville "favorite" where "wonderful" mezes are the focus, and the service is "warm and friendly"; the "rustic", "like-in-Athens" setting "can get noisy", but in summer there's always the "charming garden."

My local Greek restaurant also happens to be the best I've had in the city, including the more famous midtown staples. They have also always been accommodating when I walk in without a reservation, which is appreciated. Good service and great food. The only complaint would be the noise level, which can be high even on a weekday. During the warmer months sitting in the back on the patio or in the front outside can help alleviate that. I recommend it to all my friends looking for good, authentic Greek food (and I've traveled extensively in Greece and it easily compares to my best meals there).

The chicken was dry and overdone while the rice was soggy like it had sat our for a long time. The grilled octopus was good when it wasn't burnt to the point that i couldn't chew it and the service was mediocre at best. I would give it 3 stars if this was a $10 per plate diner, but this is a $50 per person sit down place.

This place was great!! It is a bit expensive but than again so are most Manhattan restaurants. I went here with my brother a month ago. The place has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. The waiters are all true greeks! It makes me feel like I'm back in Greece. My brother and I started out with a Horiatiki salad and Saganaki. Both were really delicious! I especially loved the salad! It was just so fresh and flavorful!! My brother had Soutzoukakia and I had Arni Youvetsi as my main meal. They were both good. They had a more modern twist to them. I wouldnt say it was my favorite but it was still good. I would say this place is worth going and trying.

If you can get a table in the outside patio in the back, take it to avoid the noisy clatter in the front room. Delicious mediterranean salad, nice and cold. Great grilled octopus and some tender lamb dishes. Food was fresh and authentic. Service was professional.
