Yotel New York, New York, New York, American Restaurant Details

Food:

When we arrived, we found blood on one of our pillows, dust caked in the corners of the wall, the shower drain was backed up and the air conditioner was not functioning. After switching to another room, it was even more disgusting, with visible dust clumps on the TV and shelves. After trying to get our money back they put us in a room "they knew was clean". I guess that means they don't bother to clean the other rooms. Bottom line: if you like small dirty rooms with an obnoxious trendy theme for the sake of being trendy, you will love it here.

Food:

I've stayed at this hotel twice and have not been disappointed. It's quirky- with the purple lighting, club music in the elevator, and ship's cabin style rooms. Most importantly it's clean and the staff is friendly. Well equipped gym. And the most impressive baggage handler you'll ever see.

Was in YOTEL NYC in April 2014 - GREAT location, Times Square within short walking distance as many other POI ... Hotel itself was cool, stylish and trendy ... good restaurant in the evening (great food) BUT why 3 stars only ... because of HORRIBLE bed ... room was small but great (great view on hudson river - from 23rd floor), functional and ok BUT then again ...BED ... it was more like a very thin sponge on a hard board ... if this was ok i would give hotel (friendly stuff, cleas, location, good wifi) 5 stars but so ... :-)

A great budget city hotel, Certainly something to experience. Ideal for younger people.
Awesome location, Times Square is about a 5-10 minute walk away, I walked to many places and back within a day.
When you explore the building it's as if your in Tokyo (Check out the cool luggage/safe keeping robot to your right when entering) It's very airy and open planned. It can get a bit crowded during meal periods so get in there at a good time if you want good seats.
Computers are available on the 1st floor lounge area.
Locals often come to the restaurant and bar for their night out, usually 5pm onwards. The music tends to get louder at this point. But there isn't trouble or anything like that it's more sophisticated.
Rooms are contemporary and designed well. Comfortable beds and good storage space.
Definitely would stay in a Yotel again especially this one, for me it really added to the New York experience.

YOTEL is a cool, unique hotel concept that reminds me of Virgin America lounges and services. The room is a compact modern micro apt or cabin with a retractable bed and the basic necessities. The check-in and check-out is self serviced via kiosks in the lobby and there's a robot to store your luggage in lockers. The 4th floor is the main guest level with ample seating, computer station, pool tables, bar, restaurant and terrace. There's a galley with a coffee station on each floor.

Many oversea and business travelers at YOTEL. I like this new concept better than the old-style hotels.
