Really good dim sum. Parking is a bit of a pain, but worth driving around a few times. Friendly service, but the bathroom was hideous! I peed whilst a roach sat and stared at me!

Would recommend: Prawn stuffed Shiitake, BBQ Puffs, Shrimp and Spinach Dumplings & Siu Mai

I love dim sum. I've had it here/Chicago, and anywhere else I can. I love getting to try several different things in one meal. My favorite item is sticky rice. Yum Yum's sticky rice with various meat in lotus leaf is heavenly. It's moist, sticky and savory. I love adding hot sauce to it. I might even share with you. Might. You might have to get your own. I also love their hot tea, bbq pork bun, dumplings, chinese broccoli. Everything I've tried was scrumptious. They're not open on a Tuesday so I try not to get a craving for sticky rice on those days. It's hard. I wish they had more soup options, but the sticky rice makes up for that.

So the hostess couldn't give me an estimate of whether or not there would be a wait for our group in 30 minutes time and her reason was because she "Can't tell the future". A) smart aleck comment not necessary B) you really could not give a reasonable estimate of how busy your restaurant will be in 30min?

We went anyway, and the food was actually pretty good. I like the dim sum concept, and we were pleasantly surprised by some of the dishes. Can't give it a four because of the attitude/service of the hostess (which didn't get better when we got there) and because the tables were sticky and the decor in general was very basic - to say the least. In summation, I give it 3 stars solely on the quality/taste of the food.

We waited outside for about 1 hour even though a table was empty. After such a long wait, I was disappointed with the pork dumplings and dim sum. The meat was hard and tasteless. Pork potsticker was still ok but was already cold. I will never go there again.

For years I have avoided making Tuesday appointment with my doctors who are in the Medical center. Yum Yum Cha is closed on Tuesdays.
The food is excellent from the turnip cakes, steamed buns, shu mai, spare ribs (in a wet
garlic sauce) to the fried ship balls and crab. Having tried most things on the menu I have not been disappointed in probably 40 visits.
Service is slow since you order from a menu and each dish is prepared for you.
Accommodations are minimal, they do play wonderful classical music. Prices are reasonable.
