Love this place! I have never dined in, only taken out, and the food is delicious every time! Good food that is hot when I get home always makes my day. Friendly staff that are happy to have your business.

Today was the third time I ordered food from Yummy Garden, and they've struck out. Each menu item has been disgusting and the egg flour soup always tastes like wet dog water. Even the fortune cookie was unpackaged and stale....

Horrible ... Polite service is all that can be expected of this Dive pseudo-americanized-chinese-food. The food tastes as if it has been sitting around waiting for poor schleps like me longing for the genuine americanized chinese flavor, on top of it sitting before being cooked it sat cooking to long and burned ... Do portlanders really eat this crap? I fear I may have to go back east to satisfy my craving for good chinese food, and I am tired of thai ...

How can you not like a place called Yummy Garden, especially when it has photos of the late John Candy and other stars adorning it's walls? The chef apparently has catered to some of the movies that have been made in the area and decorates the restaurant with the memorabilia. I have gotten takeout here (the clerk offered me tea while I waited) and ate here for my birthday last year. It is a great place with big portions and food that hits the spot. It's not gourmet but when I'm in the mood, it's an excellent treat (in fact.. I think I will get takeout from there tonight!)
