The great food definitely makes up for the fair service. The best Chinese food in Florida! I drive from Orlando just to eat there!

Food:

Although the food at this location is very good, the service is fair, at best! The crowds they get are not handled appropriately.... They are disorganized with seating and handling their customers. I left the restaurant due to this issue recently.

Food:

Very fresh and tasty. My favorite is the salt and pepper calamari, lightly breaded and has a delicious sweet and spicy garlic topping. Shrimp and broccoli has a nice garlic sauce and broccoli is cooked perfectly.

I love Chinese food and have eaten it all over the world. Yummy House is not Chinese Food but a poor interpretation of what Americans believe Chinese food should be. Since it was lunch I ordered just 2 dishes. Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Kung Bao Chicken. I should have known when the shrimp arrived I made a mistake in lunch choices. If I wanted shrimp swaddled in half inch thick breading I would have gone to Long John Silvers. There was virtually no pepper, hot pepper or flavor. But I endured. Kung Bao chicken is my measure of a Chinese Restaurant. I did not expect the mainland China version but something akin to what is called New York Style. What I got was a plate of lukewarm chicken and over done vegetables in a nondescript brown sauce mingled with peanuts. No smoked la'jiao, no hint of hoisin, Sichuan peppers, no green onions, and where the heck was the ginger.

If you want something close to real Chinese food try the Ho Ho Choy on Fletcher - but avoid the Yummy House - unless you like breading.

Love this place. Have eaten at the one in Bradenton and the one in East Tampa. Fantastic every time. Salt and pepper calamari is AWESOME.
