Yusho Restaurant, Chicago, Illinois Restaurant Details

Food:

The manager, Timothy, was with out a doubt a wonderful host at the bar when friends and I came in this week. We shared the Prawns, 2xFried Chicken, Lamb Tskune, Fried Chicken Steam Buns, Himachi Poke, before settling in on some Ramen as a main course. My friend swears by the Spicy Chicken, but I went lighter on the spice with the Pork and the broth was out of this world. Each dish has its own unique flavors accented perfectly by the different textures textures. All of this would of have been great but the Sake selection made our night the best time I have had in Chigaco area in a long time. Its also worth noting that Timothy and the entire staff where friendly and inviting but the best part was their extensive knowledge of every dish and its pairings. I could not of had a better time.

Food:

Beware the Pork Ramen...it was very highly spiced with a bright red oil which felt like it was taking the lining off my throat and spoiled both my night out and later my sleep when it settled on my stomach. There was no mention on the menu that the dish was extra spicy.
Conversely the Fries, Ice Cream, drinks and service were good.
Doubt if I will return.

Everything we had was great. Steam Buns were outstanding, fried chicken was delicious, and the ramen was very flavorful.

Awesome food? If your a foodie person, go to Sumi Robata. YUSHO food quality is not up to par. They need Chef Ramsey to fix up the menu. Kind of greasy and unhealthy. Needs some greens on the menu. Maybe some organic greens, healthy Japanese style. The sauces I didn't even touch after trying. Never order the skintrio....... :/

I have to give one thing I liked atleast, even though it was over seasoned. Their chicken wings. But you can't go too wrong with wings.

I don't want to be rude. I'm just a major foodie person. Trust me, Go try Sumi Robata.

Good service tho. Waitresses were very attentive :)

Awesome food! I was there for Ramen Battle, it was EPIC! Creative and full of flavour, they also have those awesome drinks, perfect for a long warm summer night! The ambiance is electric, the kind of place you will remember for a long time!!
