Stopped in for a beer. The seasonal watermelon beer that they had was delicious.

I ordered my pizza, they said 45 minutes. It's been an hour and a half, so I called. First guy said that my pizza was delivered. I said it hasn't. He then proceeded to put me on hold. Next guy answers, then I tell him my situation. He then proceeds to tell me that they don't deliver 0.9 miles away to my hotel. Why didn't the person who took my order tell me this? Why did they hang up instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and allow me to pick up for a discounted price? Worst service I've had anywhere, totally unprofessional.

I don't know that I've ever had pizza quite like this. The slices are super inexpensive, minimal wait time, and incredibly FRESH ingredients. I'm talking farmer's market fresh. For less than $5/slice. I don't know how they've cracked this magic recipe but I have yet to be disappointed. I'd recommend getting some honey mustard on the side bc that sauce is like CRACK!! Ask for extra :)

This is good to eat at or get take-out. If you eat there, enjoy a local Hell or High Watermelon from 21st Amendment!

After living in NY, I've become picky about pizza. Za is one of the few places in the city that gets it right; just the right amount of toppings and the dough is perfect. There isn't much ambience or seating there so you may want to do take out. Featuring local brews on tap while you wait. Pizza is better than Gioia's IMHO.
