Travel to Israel and back in one night at this must-try Society Hill gem, where a deceptively simple, ever-changing small-plates menu is presented by a staff that seamlessly glides around and takes care of everyone's needs amid beautiful surrounds; it's an "impeccable experience, but prepare to spend money – it's not cheap.

Buddakan is THE place to go for a special occasion. I celebrated my four year anniversary here last night, and everything exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was definitely breath taking. It's very vast, trendy, and dimly lit to exude a romantic ambiance.

My server was friendly and attentive. I love how the food is presented in the middle of the table as soon as it is prepared so it's super hot and fresh, also perfect for sharing.

We got the rock shrimp appetizer, the jade shrimp dumplings (my favorite) and an order of wok stirred noodles with prawns and broken chili chicken.

For desert we ordered "Crying Chocolate" which was malted ganache with vietnamese coffee ice cream. The server brought it over lit with candles, and a "happy anniversary" note written on the plate! That was such a pleasant and perfect surprise, and the desert it self was very decadent and delicious.

Thank you buddakan for such a perfect dining experience!

Wanted to try it with friends after reading all of the great reviews about Zahav. First of all the place is hard to find and parking can be difficult.
The service was horrible and food was not so great. Our waiter was disappearing at items and was no where to be found. It took forever to get our drinks and food. The food was ok at best, was hopping for much better.

One of my best dining experiences ever. Delicious food, incredible service, and a great atmosphere. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing and absolutely enjoyed everything! Couldn't give a possible higher review or recommendation.

I feel I would love it more if I gave some thought on ordering instead of mindlessly going for the tasting menu. Wish to go back. Maybe I'll give five stars next time when every plate on the table are something I care about. I love the cauliflower, the carrot pine nut salad (I hate carrots), I forgot to ask what spice is in the chickpea, the grill cheese skewer is more cheese than I should eat but they are irresistible, the crispy rice makes me want to buy a mini size cast iron pan to replicate at home, mushroom so good. The whole meal is amazing, amazing, amazing! I just don't like the idea of tasting. I'd rather have a cleaner palate to savour less ideas.

We did the tasting menu and loved nearly everything. The fried cauliflower was ok but I could see how others would love it - even that was well done. The service was fantastic and we got to sit at the bar for the full menu within half an hour waiting without reservations.

I don't usually like middle eastern food but this was amazing.
