If I lived here, this would be my regular go to!!! Was in town for 5 days and ate here 3 times! Everything I had was delicious. The food was delicious, the drinks were interesting and the service was great! So many good things on the menu, I'll need a return visit just so I can check off a few more of them!

This place is another one of my fav's in the East Village. I worked in the East Village for awhile and got to know those restaurants and also verging into The Gaslamp and this right here is one of my best recommendations for a reasonable, delicious meal with a quiet relaxing environment. They have a great 10$ lunch special and you pick two of three choices. Soup, Salad or Sandwich. Normally I'm a soup and Sandwich girl but, think twice cuz their house salad is the best I've ever had! It has avocado, sunflower seeds, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, daikon, spring mix, and more in it! It will blow your mind it's a salad I dream about in between visits!! Their soup is also crazy good! All homemade and you can taste it! Their Ginger Carrot puree soup was to die for and vegetarian!! I've been here and shared multiples dishes and lunches with people and absolutely can never wait to go back. Their service is great and it's just usually and over all great experience!

Cute cute cute. Zanzibar has fresh, yummy food, but a great atmosphere to boot. I've been here for lunch and dinner and recommend it. I do LOVE the Ahi salad. I don't love the sliders. Be aware: sometimes they are a bit understaffed and your meal will, unfortunately, take longer than expected.... especially during the lunch rush.

In the mood for something light? A cheese plate, perhaps? Then Zanzibar it is. They've got everything a lady could want, including nice cheese sandwhiches, tasty salads, and the best indoor/outdoor feel in downtown. Which of all things, is definetly what THIS lady wants.

We found this place by chance and were not disappointed at all! Appetizers and salads are very good but be careful with portions sizes: huge! Very nice for a glass of wine with a nice assortment of cheeses. Their deserts looked great too but I just did not have room.
