Nice place to go on a Sunday afternoon, The Have Very Good Bruch, I love the Music. The MAnagers are very Nice. .. Nice and secure Place ,,.. I highly Recommad it ..Gene

I have been to Zanzibar 3 times, to see Chuck Brown. I can't believe he still plays there, really, and I can't believe they are still in business. If you call, no one knows whats going on, show times, cost, or anything. When you get there, no one knows what's going on. Two of the three times I've been, I've gone early, because I couldn't get a showtime, and they told me only VIP tickets are available, (this is a scam). You can only buy tickets at the door, and I was one of the first 50 people there, so I still don't get it. I bought the VIP tickets, which allows you on the third floor, and gives you ONE DOLLAR off drinks, but the bar never opens until the show starts, and that's on the second floor... I wanna be where Chuck is... It is to the point of sad... So I was headed there tonight comin in from Baltimore. I called several times, show was on, but same bullshit with show times and cost... and it turns out the show is cancelled, 3 hours after the doors are supposed to be open... can't get anyone on the phone, and my girl is here from Mississippi... We've been planning this since May. The sound sucks, the website sucks, It doesn't look ANYTHING like the website portrays, the people are nasty cause THEY can't answer questions... So, needless to say, I will never consider this place again. They said cancellation was due to circumstances beyond their control, but I've been there, and I know it's bullshit, they just don't have their business "under control". Shameful... Never again...

Food:

We took my family to Zanzibar on Mother's Day 2008. In addition to having the worst food ever, we had to sit at card tables and fold up chairs in over crowded conditions. Besides that for $40.00 I was told that you could not even get a refill on a coca cola. They only gave out 5 ounces and you would have to pay for a refill. This place was a nightmare. I would never come back and I am going to TELL ALL MY FRIENDS and COWORKERS this is a dive and a rip off. Don't waste your money or your time. If you want a decent buffet you may as well go to Country Buffet. The food there is 1000 times better besides it is not as expensive. Keep your money in your pocket.

Food:

The wife and I recently went here for New Years. We went with the VIP couple tickets. The total package was not worth the price, but we had a wonderful time. The drink were expensive but strong. One of the bartenders couldn't make a margarita. The music was tasteful, current, and well timed. The service was good. I would not suggest going in more than groups of 4. Overall we would do it again but go with the cheaper tickets.
