09/30/2014 8:38 pmThe food was okay but a bit pricey. We had a very nice waiter that looked like he was new so a waitress was following him around. She was kind of rude and condescending. Really the experience at the restaurant wasn't too bad, but when I went to pay I had $20 in cash and the rest on my card. The waiter got it right and confirmed that was how I wanted it. While it was pending in my bank it was the right price, but when it went through it went through as if I had charged the whole meal on the card! I went through 3 days of taking to management to try to figure it out until one of them agreed to fix it and refund what I was overcharged. The next day, not only was the charge not fixed, but they had charged an extra $24 to my account! I ended up being charged $94 for a $50 meal. I had to physically drive to the restaurant and talk to a general manager and all he did was say that the $20 extra would be returned to me (he gave me a receipt) and that he didn't know where the extra $24 had come from and that I'd have to contact my bank. He didn't offer me any sort of compensation for all the time and gas I had wasted due to his staffs mistake and he really didn't solve the problem. Terrible service, I will never visit again. |

06/06/2014 11:29 amI come to this place so many time the service is terrible and the food was cold, one night I was there with my family we have to wait be seated for an hours because no one was there to help us, we decide to ask a service can we talk to the manager they told us the manager is in the office with the bad attitude, that was our lasttime we ever go back to this restaurant. Overall the service is very bad n the manager don't know how to management beside seatting in the office.... |

04/17/2013 10:02 pmI have been to Zen Bistro in Westchase twice before and have always had a good time. Usually the food and the service is great. Not today! Me and my husband just got back from dinner. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and sashimi. We informed our server about my food allergies and that we could not have anything with mayo. However, the chef used spicy mayo to decorate the sushi rolls anyway. To add to our surprise, our server brought that to our table and asked us if she should just scrape the spicy mayo off and replace the jalapeno pieces. This shocked us since we had clearly told her a few times that I could not come close to consuming mayo due to my allergies. And when we said that just scraping the mayo off is still a health risk that I cannot take, she walked away with some attitude. When our food came back it still had some spicy mayo on some of the rolls. What's worse...my husband's sashimi was missing a piece! |

Called early afternoon for reservation and was told that they do not take reservations for parties less than six, and to call 20 minutes ahead to ensure prompt seating when I arrived. I did so, and had to wait nearly half an hour before I was seated indoors when I had asked to sit outside (note: there were a few tables open both inside and out while we sat and waited to be seated). |
