Excelent place for datenights.
Genuin japanese food and atmosphere. Great selection of sake and the service is superb.

I came here with a Groupon and had a lovely dinner. The place reminds me of Ninja but without the entertainment part. I liked the private booths and the service was very attentive. My favorite dishes were the miso cod, udon, and filet mignon tataki. The udon was bigger than I expected since the other plates were pretty small. The dishes were fresh and tasty. I will be back.

I'm hesitant to review this place since it's one of my top 3 favorite japanese restaurants in NYC, but definitely need to give it a shout out.

The BEST omakase I have had so far at far more affordable prices than a Sugiyama or Inakaya.

Felt like I was back in Roppongi in Tokyo - stellar service, sake pairings, and will come back to impress a date or two.

Awesome date spot. Bring your ladies or ladies make your man bring you here.

Private booths for each table, curtains that gives you even more privacy. So after a few drinks and sake, get your freak on with your man or woman.

Service comes when you press a button on the table. Very clever and convient, especially when you don't want to be bothered by the waiter.

Food is served fast and usually 2 plates at a time before others come. Table is small so that's probably why they only bring a couple first before the rest of the dishes.

No sushi here, just modern japanese.

Get:
Rice ball
Cold fresh tofu
Lamp chops
Potato Mochi
Rocksalt Chicken with yuzu pepper (this will make your taste buds on fire, dont be fool by it's powerful spice because they only give you so little)
Grilled fish of the day (was salmon for us that day)
Chicken meatball (they served this on a bamboo stick; nice presentation)
Grapefruit Gelee
Black Seasame moose

Bring cash and some bens. They have a ATM in the waiting area if you dont have cash.

SIX. STAR. EXPERIENCE. FULL STOP.

If you're into sushi in volume - don't go there.

If you're into high-end tasting menu made of freshest ingredients served by kindest people on Earth in a very intimate atmosphere - this is THE PLACE for you.

We will be back. SOON.

With dark warrens and booths separated by privacy screens, the intimate atmosphere is a key appeal of this hidden, unique Williamsburg Japanese izakaya that's perfect for romantic dates; however, the expensive, small plates–centric fare is just as exquisite, and it's delivered by pro staffers who are always just a button-push away.
