Zydeco Downtown, Raleigh, North Carolina Restaurant Details

When I was living in NC, Zydeco was a go to spot for me. THe live bands are always on point and the food is good. Zydeco is a great place to hit for a cool night on the town.

Great food and great service. Went for dinner tonight. Hostess was fast and friendly. Waiter was great. Food was terrific and great quality.. great creole cooking. I wish I could have stayed for the music... so far raleigh has been a foodies dream a must see city and a great restaurant.

Funny story about my first experience at Zydecos. So my wife called to see who they had singing on Friday night. The lady on the phone said "Teddy Riley". All surprised and at awe I called back myself to find out if it was the famous Grammy award winner Teddy Riley from the 80's. She said "Yes"!!!!!!!!!!

So we go to Zydecos all excited about the opportunity to see Teddy Riley. After about an hour of some dude singing with his band we stop the waiter who was absolutely hilarious and accommodating and ask him when Teddy Wiley was coming on stage. He informs us that the singer is not Teddy Riley, but Terry Wiley from Raleigh. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! Still had a good time but disappointing that $70 later that I did not get to see Teddy Riley.

Went to Zydeco for their lunch buffet and became an instant fan! The food was AMAZING! The bbq ribs were so tender and flavorful - they taste fresh off of a grill. The fried and baked chicken was delicious. The mac and cheese was to die for! I'm not a big veggie eater, but there was plenty of veggies and also a salad bar. Everything was very very good, and very affordable! I'll definitely be back.

we had a 730 dinner reservtion that we were on time for and when we got there someone else had our table.We went and sat down paitently waiting for our table that they said that we were next.After an hour and a half went by still no table for us and when we finally got one we had to wait another hour to get our food.Zodecos is very unorganized.I didnt make any since that we had to wait 3 hours to get our food but we only had to wait ten minutes to get our bill in which everyone ordered separetly and still got charged 20% pertunity when the rule states that 5 or more guest ordering together gets charged 20%. Our experiance there was ok except the sevice was terrible.i have never expereanced service like that in my life. We wont be going back.
